Hola Barcelona!

Weekend Travel Barcelona

Was war euer Highlight?

Barcelona

Barcelona, what a city. When I visited the city 3 years ago for the first time, I straight knew that I wanted to come back. So I was more than happy when I got the chance to visit one of my friends in Barcelona last weekend. I was very lucky with the weather during my stay, so I enjoyed sitting in one of the nice Restaurants straight at the beach a lot. You will find them in the area of Barceloneta or in and around the area Port Olimpic, which is just around the corner. It was so hot in the sun, I couldnt believe it but I felt like in summer. I could have worn my bikini if I wanted to…

One of the days I did the typical tourist stuff. Sitting in a sightseeing bus and driving through the whole city while listening to an audio guide. But it was fun and I always like those sightseeing tours to get an generel overview about the city.

Another place I have been a lot during my stay was Plaça de Catalunya. The bus from the airport stops right here if you want to go right in the city. That was really comfortable. Out of Plaça Catalunya the longest shopping road through Barcelona starts, and if you go south from that Plaça (direction ocean) you get to the famous Ramblas. I like all the small streets next to it, where you can have some nice Tapas.

The part I liked to most is the Gothic Quarter and an area called La Ribera. Some of the best Restaurants in town are located here. Its the old town of Barcelona and also not far from the Ramblas. The City is definitely worth a visit. I would say its my favorite city in Spain!

Have you been to Barcelona yet? What was your favorite thing to do there?
