Die Website wurde von der Autorin Anne-Catherine gegründet. Die Autorin ist in Berlin geboren und aufgewachsen. Nach ihrem Bachelorstudium im Fach Kommunikationsmanagement zog sie in die Schweiz, um dort ihren Master in Business Administration zu studieren. Als Vertiefungsrichtungen wählte sie die Fächer Marketing und Online Business, aufgrund des großen, persönlichen Interesses im Onlinebereich. Während dem Studium gründete sie die Website Fashcation, um eine ihrer Leidenschaften – das Reisen – mit anderen zu teilen.
Neben Reiseberichten, Tipps und Inspirationen zu den zahlreichen, weltweiten Orten welche die Autorin bereist hat, findet der Leser auf Fashcation auch Outfit-Inspirationen. Durch das Interesse an den Bereichen Reisen und Mode entschloss sie sich diese Webseite Fashcation zu nennen. Eine Zusammensetzung der Wörter Fashion und Vacation.
Nach dem Studium abolviert die Autorin zunächst ein Praktikum im Marketing bei Estée Lauder Companies für die Marken Estée Lauder, Tom Ford und Aerin in Zürich. Im Oktober 2018 erhält sie die Chance für 6 Monate im International Sales & Marketing für das deutsche Modemagazin InStyle und für einige, weitere bekannte Magazine des deutschen Verlages Hubert Burda Media im Außendienstbüro, in Paris mitzuarbeiten. In Paris akquiriert und berät sie die Print & Online Werbekunden, die in den deutschen Magazinen erscheinen – Werbekunden sind u.a. Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Longchamp, Zadig & Voltaire, Maje, Tara Jarmon, Caudalie, Ba&sh und etliche weitere. Andere deutsche Magazine für die sie in Paris arbeitet, sind u.a. Bunte, Freundin, Focus, Travel+Leisure.
Mittlerweile arbeitet die Autorin bei Hugo Boss als Beraterin für die weltweite Mediaplanung und wohnt in Zürich.

This website was founded by the author Anne-Catherine, a born and raised Berlin girl. She moved to Switzerland, after finishing her Bachelor Studies in “Communication Management“, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She chose Marketing and Online Business as her majors, due to the strong personal interest in the online industry. She decided to found the website Fashcation during her studies to share one of her big passion – travelling- with others.
Next to her travel reports and inspirations from places all over the world the reader will also find fashion inspirations on Fashcation. Because of her strong interest in both things- travel and fashion- she decided to name this website Fashcation. A composition of the two words Fashion and Vacation.
After completing her Master studies she got an offer for an internship in Marketing at Estée Lauder Companies in Zurich, where she worked for the brands Estée Lauder, Tom Ford and Aerin. In October 2018 she got an offer to move to Paris to work for a popular german and international Fashion Magazine – called InStyle. Currently she is working in Paris in international Sales & Marketing for InStyle Magazine and much more.
Currently the author is working for Hugo Boss as a consultant for global media planning and lives in Zurich, Switzerland.
